OSHA Compliance Suite Opening Screen Patch

You have been directed to this site to repair a problem you are having with our OSHA Compliance Suite product. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused you but we assure you this fix will be quick and painless.

The Problem:
After you open the software program the opening navigation screen locks up. You are not able to move your mouse or otherwise navigate the program. This problem typically arises when your network firewall has very tight security settings. Our program is not able to "ping" our update server to check for the presence of new updates. If our server cannot be "pinged", the software locks up.

The Fix:
Close your OSHA Compliance Suite software program.
Click here to download a small patch from our secure server. After the "File Download" box appears click "Run". Next, you will see a Winzip Self-Extractor dialog box, click "Unzip". NOTE: it may take a few seconds for this box to appear, be patient. Two files will be downloaded to your computer and a small box will say the "files were successfully downloaded". Open your program and the open screen should be fully functional, there is no need to re-start your computer.

Solution
After the patch is installed the program will not "look" for an internet connection thereby allowing the software to open and perform normally. However, with this solution, your software will not be able to ping our server to check for an update. To receive an update, our offices will have to send you an update CD by mail. Occasionally, you will be reminded by the software to call our offices to see if a new update is available. The other option would be to reduce your security settings on your firewall so the program would have the capability to ping our server as designed.

After installing the patch you have the ability to  enable or disable Internet updates within the program. By clicking the pull down menu labeled “Help” you can select “Enable Internet Update Checking” or the toggled option “Disable Internet Update Checking”. These options are based on your ability to ping our server or not.
