Problem #1--Your program
does not display checkboxes when you are trying to develop a safety
manual, inspection checklists or employees handbook.
Solution:
access an executable file. Click "Run" on the first box, click
"Run" on the next box, and then click "UnZip" on
the next box. A small screen should pop-up stating that "3 files
unzipped successfully". Re-open your program and your software
should be fixed. Note: this fix will not
work if you are running a Vista operating system.
Problem #2--You can't open a PDF file within
the OSHA Compliance Suite program.
Solution: Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader (or full versions)
4.0, 5.0 or 6.0 installed on your computer. Additionally, you must open
(register)
a PDF file at least once while not in OSHA Compliance Suite (OCS) before PDF files can be
opened within the program. This step will ensure Reader is installed and
operating properly. Also, if you have the very latest version of Acrobat
Reader, version 7.0 installed on your computer, OCS may not be compatible with
it. Uninstall Reader 7.0 and reinstall Reader 4.0, 5.0 or 6.0. Note: the OCS installation CD has a free copy of
Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 on it. Our engineers
are working on a fix so that Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 is compatible with OCS.
Problem #3--You try to open and view safety
manual pages or inspection checklists but the pages don't load.
Solution:
Step 1, Close your OSHA Compliance Suite program
Step 2, Right click your "Start" button and open the "Program Files"
folder and then open the "Regsoft" folder. Step 3, Find the "Reg32" folder (for 32-bit machines) or the
"Reg64" folder (for 64-bit machines), double-click this folder to open.
Step 4, On 32-bit machines, double click the "register32.bat" file. On
64-bit machines double click the "register64.bat". Step 5, A black
DOS screen will then appear directing you to "press any key to
continue". Press any key as directed. Step 6, After a short time,
another screen will appear informing you with language to the effect
that the "dllregisterserver succeeded". When you see this message you
have correctly registered this special file. Step 7, Close out of
this process, re-open your software and test it to see if it now works.
Problem #4--The OSHA Compliance Suite program
cannot build a safety manual, all you get is a blank screen when you try
to build a manual or you get an error message. Follow the solutions below in order:
Solution Routine #1:
1. Make sure your Microsoft Word program opens and works
properly. If not, correct the Word problem. Note: our software
requires that you have a fully-functional copy of Microsoft word
installed on your computer.
2. While still in Word, go to Tools>Options>Security and
change the Security Level from "High" to
"Low".
3. Open and check OSHA Compliance Suite to see if it now works
properly, if not, proceed to the next routine. If it does work properly,
you might try changing the Security Level to ""Medium"
and see if the program continues to work properly, if not, change it
back to "Low".
Solution Routine #2:
1. Make sure your software is installed on the C: drive and not D: or
other drives.
2. Right click your OSHA Compliance Suite desktop icon and select
"Properties". The Properties dialog box should indicate that
the program is launched from the "C:\program files\regsoft"
folder.
3. If the program is not launched from the above folder uninstall
and reinstall the software using the standard installation defaults. If
you are still having a problem after re-installation, please follow the
routines below in order.
Solution Routine #3:
Solution Routine #4--Tight IT Security Solution
After opening the "Sample Plans" button from
the opening screen, you check various check boxes to the left of the
safety plans you wish to edit. But when you select the "Create
Safety Manual" button at the bottom of the page you get a pop-up box
like or similar to the one below:

Even if you click the "OK" box at the bottom of
the window you still have the problem.
Problem:
If you do
not have Administrator privileges
or your privileges are
tightly controlled by your IT Department,
your permissions setting
may not allow our software the access it needs to operate
successfully.
Fix
With the help of your IT Department, log-in as
the Administrator and check to see if the problem goes away. If it
does, have your IT Department
either give you Administrator privileges or change the
following settings on your computer to to allow "full control" to
the following folder: C:\Program Files\Regsoft. This
change will allow the software to work properly without compromising
the security of your computer environment. After the folder settings
have been changed, recheck the software to see if it now functions
properly. If not, call Boyer Safety Services, Inc. at (800)
664-8401.
Problem #5--When you try to
use the PowerPoint section of the program you are not able to do so. You
don't see the list of PowerPoint files on the left side of the screen
and the right side of the screen is blank. The problem could be that the
OSHA Compliance Suite program does not where to "find" the
PowerPoint program installed on your computer.
Solution:
Step #1--Determine where your PowerPoint executable file resides on
your hard drive. Typically, this file is named, "Powerpnt.exe".
Go to your Search function in Windows and type in "Powerpnt.exe".
Step #2--When the Search function finds the file carefully write down
the specific address. As an example, this file could have the following
address: C:\program files\microsoft office\office\powerpnt.exe. If the
Search function cannot find this file, use other appropriate methods to
determine the name and location of the file.
Step #3--Open the OSHA Compliance Suite program and click on the
"PowerPoint (R) Training Lessons" box.
Step#4--Next, click on the "Set PowerPoint (R) Program Path"
box in the lower left hand side of the screen.
Step #5--Compare the address path on the resulting screen with the path
you recorded in Step #2 above. If the path is the same, call Boyer
Safety Services for additional help.
Step #6--if the path is different than the path you recorded in Step #2
above, set the correct path in the "Open" dialog box and click
the "Open" box to save the file location for your program.
Step #7--Close the program and re-open it, your PowerPoint section
should now be fully functional.
